Topic: Tips and tricks to make your personal statement stand out

An essay writer is not only dedicated to writing essays. But there are times when they have to write personal statements as well. A personal statement is a brief but comprehensive description of a person usually incorporated in an essay or resume. These statements are used for admission essays, entry essays, and resumes for jobs. They must contain the academic, personal, and social interests of a person. Personal statements are not too long or not too short. The following is a list of tips and tricks that guide you on how to make your personal statement stand out.

A personal statement needs to be eye catchy and flowery. It needs both a good choice of words and quality content to appeal to the authorities. A personal statement is the main step before you enter a new phase of life. Whether it be a new college, university, or a job.

Many people go to lengths to make their statement flawless. They either write a perfect one themselves and in some cases, they even consult a paper writing service. This service is working in almost every part of the world as they offer it online. These companies have professional writers, who using details on your resume, write a perfect statement.

Now let us see what a perfect personal statement is. It is a gist introduction of you as a person and worker. It describes yourself, your interests, and your achievements so far. It also talks about why you are writing this statement and how you can be beneficial for them if they select you for the job/vacancy. Before you claim how you are befitting for that job. You must add your achievements that support your claim. While writing this statement make sure that this statement creates an impact. Since many people do not even read the resume if they are appealed by your statement.

The following is a list of a few tips, which I always cater to while I write my paper or statement. These tips are as follows:

  1. Outline the points with a boundary: Before starting to write, I create an imaginary boundary, that is the statement should be no more than 100 words. After setting this boundary, I start writing. However, the word count exceeded twice the set value. This panicked me a bit, but know what? These ideas can be compressed or shortened by using effective language. So, here I am, done with the basic outline of my statement.
  2. Write it slowly: While writing, you should not be in a rush. One should sort their ideas properly and then think about each one in detail. Each idea should be stated in an order that shows character progression over time and describes you as a person.
  3. Use appropriate words: A personal statement depends on how one uses words effectively. The choice of words matters a lot as they etch your image in that person's mind. Thus, a good choice of vocabulary is the key to making perfect statements.
  4. Highlight your strong points: One must know what their strengths are. Each of your strengths should be clearly stated in the statement. Your statement should not include your wishes or wants. But it should be a composition of what you have accomplished.
  5. Write an impactful opening: The starting sentence should be powerful and cheerful. It should speak about who you are in a surprising manner. A starting statement should not be boring. Instead, it should be something surprising for the reader. It can be any event or incident that you have been through.
  6. Keep it original: A personal statement should be original and yours. It should not seem like the work of another person. The words, tone, and attitude of the statement should reflect your personality. Moreover, the statement should include your work only that is it should not have plagiarized context or something unusual about yourself.
  7. Proofread: A statement needs to be proofread twice by the writer. The writer should evaluate it critically and look from a third-person perspective. Furthermore, the writer should also get it proofread by a friend or other person. So, that they can have an impartial viewpoint.
  8. Send it to the relevant person: Once you are 100% sure about your statement. Then there is nothing more to think about. Copy-paste the statement in your resume and send it to the person in charge for evaluation.

If one follows these steps, then one will be able to write an impeccable statement.

The above discussion is all about how to write, what to write, and how to make a statement stand out among others. But before we wrap up this discussion, let us see a few tools to double-check your grammar. There are online compilers available that writers use to check their grammatical or tone errors. You can always use them and make your statement wonderful. Just make sure that your tone remains formal, but it should not be dull to bore the readers. You can look up examples of some exemplary personal statements and redefine yours. It is better that you write a rough draft first and then work out a strategy to make it look readable. Hence, don't wait for the right time to start building your personal statement efficiently, and make sure that you precisely add every detail to stand out among your peers.
